A remarkable launch
Copy No.1 sold right in the middle of the Ocean
It’s midway between France and the United States, aboard the Queen Mary II, that copy No.1 of
the Liberté watch was offered at auction by the famous Drouot auction house.
This initial memorable sale took place during The Bridge, an unmissable event from the summer
of 2017, celebrating the centenary of the Franco-American alliance sealed during the First World
War. The Queen Mary II was then chartered to make the journey from Saint Nazaire to New York,
by way of a symbolic link between two nations.
